In June 2026, 37 photobooth providers in Sydney, in collaboration with the Photobooth Society of Australia, agreed to an open price survey, to establish market rates for photo booth hire. The results compiled private prices from the 37 providers, as well as open source information from an additional 44 providers who provided pricing information on their websites. The results are as follows:
Cheap
The cheapest photobooths were generally providers that offered either 1-2 hour hire options, digital only options or new vendors looking to break into the industry. Other themes included unattended booths, webcam only quality, or ageing equipment.
Prices in this range started as low as $349 for 1 provider with a 2 hour package, and averaging at $500 for most 3 hour packages with an attendant. Digital only booths averaged at $400, often without an attendant.
Average
Most tenured photobooth providers averaged between $700 and $900 for 3-4 hour packages. These packages generally offered DSLR cameras, on-site attendants and a sizeable number of verified customers reviews.
Premium
A sizeable number of providers offered specialized booths, such as Mirror Booths, Retro Booths, Bubble Booths and other perks, such as multiple attendants or flower wall backdrops. These providers all started at $1,200 for their minimum hour packages, and went as high $3,000 for all day corporate events.
Overall pricing trends
When accounting for prints and an onsite attendant, the average photobooth hire in Sydney for 3 hours was $770 and 4 hours at $1,150 (inc GST). 5 hour packages saw a smaller change in pricing, averaging at $1,199.

We can shoot outdoors, provided there is no rain or strong winds. If it is raining or windy, we only require you to have a safe place for us to setup the booth, to continue taking photos away from the elements.
We can also shoot against our own backdrops or use your own.
